Job Title: Case Manager (full-time)

Reports To: Executive Director

Job Summary: Under supervision of the Executive Director at Ancilla Systems Incorporated and according to established practices and procedures, performs administrative, supervisory, service and direct care functions to the care and comfort of the children of Nazareth Home. May require evening or weekend work.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • A Case Manager who performs casework or group work tasks, counseling with children and their families, or planning of services for children and their families.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or counseling from an accredited school. May require evening and weekend work
  • CPR and First Aid Certification
  • Experience working in a multi-cultural environment for a not-for-profit organization providing direct service to the economically disadvantaged
  • Ability to articulate the mission and goals of Nazareth Home
  • Ability to be detail-oriented while also understanding the dynamics and needs of the whole ministry while meeting the guidelines required by the state
  • Position requires strong organizational skills, initiative, flexibility and ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent grammar, spelling and composition skills
  • Internet and software skills, including Word and Excel
  • Lifting, pushing, pulling and carrying items up to approximately 20 lbs. or more

Job Title: Child Care Worker (full-time and part time)

6:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

2:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

10:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.

Reports To: Director

Job Summary: Under supervision of the Director at the Nazareth Home and according to established practices and procedures, performs basic child care in rendering care and comfort to the children of Nazareth Home.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Works effectively and cooperatively with Nazareth Home staff and management, keeping the best interest of the children in mind. Always mindful to be a team player.
  • Performs and assists in a wide variety of tasks as they relate to the children and the house.
  • Participates in staff meetings and completes 20 hours of training annually.
  • Makes trips to other areas as needed such as doctor’s office, grocery store, and any other place necessary to ensure the efficient operation of the home.
  • Feeds, clothes, bathes, changes diapers in a caring way, and loves the babies.
  • Administers medication when needed.
  • Routinely checks to be sure child is safe and needs are satisfied.
  • Performs routine assessments; maintains routine documentation.

 

Qualifications:

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalency
  • CPR and First Aid Certification
  • Computer skills required
  • Lifting, pushing, pulling and carrying items up to approximately 20 lbs. or more

Job Title: Facility Associate (part-time-32 hours/week)

Reports To: Director

Job Summary: Under supervision of the Director at Nazareth Home and according to established practices and procedures, and performs general maintenance work. May require evening or weekend work.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Performs a variety of routine and semiskilled tasks involving general maintenance of facilities, equipment, and grounds.
  • Assures that sufficient supplies and equipment are available to meet the needs of the house.
  • Performing various repairs; minor paint jobs, plumbing repairs.
  • Sets up and removes folding tables and chairs to assist at community events.
  • Moves objects (example: stoves, refrigerators, coolers, furniture, etc.) weighing up to 150 lbs. using a hand truck or pulley.
  • Responsible for seasonal duties such as; lawn and yard maintenance and snow removal.

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalency
  • 3-5 years experience in maintenance
  • CPR and First Aid Certification

Job Title: Housekeeper/Transportation (full time)

Reports To: Director

Job Summary: Under supervision of the Director at the Nazareth Home and according to established practices and procedures, performs basic housekeeping duties and provides transportation for the children of Nazareth Home. May require evening or weekend work.

Principal Accountabilities:

Housekeeper:

  • Clean bedrooms, playrooms, living room, restrooms, hallways, office, basement stairways, and other work spaces while following health and safety standards of the home.
  • Responsible for all incoming donations, sorting, stocking and inventory.
  • Order, replenish and inventory all household supplies and children items.
  • Responsible for maintaining clothing, shoes and coats for each new child. Make sure each child has season appropriate clothing, school clothing (when applicable), pajamas, underwear, holiday outfits, coats, hats, gloves, scarf, boots, shoes, backpack and/or diaper bag.
  • Remove debris from yard, porch, driveways and garage.
  • Disinfect children’s toys and equipment.

 

Transportation:

  • Provides transportation for child visitations on an as needed basis.
  • Performs routine assessments; maintains routine documentation.

Job Title: Kitchen Manager (full time)

Reports To: Director

Job Summary: Under supervision of the Director at the Nazareth Home and according to established practices and procedures, performs basic food service and nutrition program in rendering care and comfort to the children of Nazareth Home. May require evening or weekend work.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Shall submit a written plan for nutrition and food services, including four weeks of proposed menus.
  • Shall provide nutrition education to the children and shall provide training in basic nutrition, sanitation, and guidance in planning nutrition education to the staff.
  • Develops creative and nutritious menus for the children; prepares and serves meals.
  • Generate a food budget, responsible for all grocery and WIC food shopping.
  • Maintains a clean and safe environment by cleaning dining and food preparation areas; washing dishes; implementing sanitation requirements; complying with policies and procedures, universal precautions and other measures to prevent the spread of illness;
  • Maintains food and kitchen supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; evaluating new products; placing orders for supplies;
  • Keeps kitchen equipment in good working order by following instructions for operation and maintenance; arranging for repairs;

 

Qualifications:

  • Must have a Food Handler’s Permit
  • Must have Food Preparation and Kitchen experience
  • High school diploma or equivalency

  • Responsible for food preparation, cooking and basic kitchen help.

  • Shall have a bachelor’s in science of Nursing degree from an accredited school and shall have two (2) years of supervisory and administrative experience in a child welfare agency, therapeutic or medical setting that serves children.

  • Experience working in a multi-cultural environment for a not-for-profit organization providing direct service to the disadvantaged.

Job Title: Volunteer Coordinator (part time-16 hours/week)

Reports To: Director

Job Summary: Under supervision of the Director at the Nazareth Home and according to established practices and procedures, performs basic administrative and office duties while training and scheduling volunteers and interns to assist in rendering care and comfort to the children of Nazareth Home. May require evening or weekend work.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for recruiting, training, and retaining Nazareth Home volunteers, students and interns.
  • Determining the needs for volunteers, a plan for recruitment, training, and retention of volunteers, as well as training for others working with these volunteers
  • Manage orientations and required background forms, fingerprinting and TB tests.
  • Retaining of volunteers through showing appreciation during Volunteer Appreciation week; one-on-one attention during shifts.
  • Complete evaluations/surveys after orientation and training programs.
  • Help develop the talents of professional volunteers who can engage in marketing, fundraising, and strategic planning advice on the Nazareth Home Advisory Council
  • Recruit more volunteers and better align volunteers with their interests, gifts and talents to help sustain our ministry into the future.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • CPR and First Aid Certification
  • Computer skills required
